I read in the brief that you prefer AI format.
Can I send my solution in jpg or pdf and then if I were to win I'd send all the appropriate files required?
I'm asking for this because an open file like AI (where you can job on....) needs all the images, font and other linked with it. So, but I think the other creators too, I'd must attach all .psd files and above all the true type fonts (what about your operating system...?) In this phase it would be better to send just .jpg/pdf otherwise you should link images and install a lot of fonts on your computer, at least I think so.
